This one day course is designed to give a basic understanding of what corrosion in metals is, how it occurs and what can be done to minimise it. Attendees will be able to understand the impact of corrosion in the practical applications of metals in corrosive environments.
The consequences of the corrosion of metals in the United Kingdom cost 3.5% of the GNP and cause enormous disruption to business and commerce. The aim of this course is to provide technology transfer on corrosion prevention at a level suitable for application by delegates from various industries and backgrounds.


Who should attend
The course is aimed at engineers including trainees; architects; consultants and educators. It is particularly relevant to industries requiring corrosion control such as construction, chemicals, marine and offshore, automotive, gas/electrical suppliers and also suppliers of corrosion protective systems such as paints and galvanizing, amongst others.
