Description:
A new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK has been given formal backing by the govemment, which offers considerable opportunities for the UK's manufacturing sector. One of the challenges facing new entrants into the nuclear supply chain is the issue of accreditation and qualification.
The Special Metals Forum (SMF), in partnership with Bureau Veritas UK, is holding an event to describe the quality assurance landscape relevant to supplying into the nuclear sector.
The event will outline the nuclear regulatory framework and quality requirements, and give an overview of the relevant nuclear codes and standards. Case study examples from the Olkiluoto 3 nuclear power station under construction in Finland will also be given.
Who should attend?
Any company with an interest in supplying products and services into nuclear new build and other nuclear sector programmes. The event will include an update of activities aimed at supporting the nuclear supply chain and
provide a networking opportunity to companies with an interest in supplying into nuclear new build, operation and maintenance and nuclear decommissioning.
