Description:
This two day course is designed to give attendees a basic understanding of metallurgy, and to appreciate the issues involved in the production of metals and alloys. The emphasis is on ferrous metallurgy. The presenters will be pleased to answer any questions not addressed in the talks.
Who should attend
Personnel involved in the production, processing, fabricating, utilising and selling of metals, although the emphasis will be on steel. They may be new or experienced personnel from technical or non-technical backgrounds, and from a variety of business functions.

Course Manager: Ian Martin BSc Hons Met, MIMMM CEng.
Ian Martin has been working in Research & Development for 30 years, specialising in structure property relationships and the effect of processing on mechanical properties in a variety of steels. He is currently employed by Corus RD&T at Swinden Technology Centre.
