Last year, the House of Commons Transport Committee issued a report concerning ‘Passengers' Experiences of Air Travel'. The SMART.mat group, a node of the Materials Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), has recently completed a review of the Air Travel sector and have identified a number of intelligent materials and systems which have the potential to offer solutions
to stakeholders in this arena. Documented in this report, the network will actively seek to set up collaborations through a facilitated workshop.
