Definitions

NAMTEC – means the National Metals Technology Centre, Swinden House, Moorgate Road, Rotherham S60 3AR

The Forum – means the NAMTEC Manufacturing Forum

Member – means an organisation or person who is a current subscriber to the Forum

Subscription - means the annual subscription fee payable by Members.

 

1.      Purpose of the Forum

1.1.     The aim of the Forum is to provide Services and Benefits that deliver sustainable growth and long term prosperity to its Members.

 

2.      Member Eligibility

2.1.     Commercial organisations in the metals supply, processing or usage sectors are eligible for Full Membership.

2.2.     Academic institutions working with metals supply, processing and usage organisations are eligible for membership subject to application criteria.

2.3.     Support organisations to metals supply, processing and usage organisations are eligible for membership subject to application criteria.

2.4.     Membership relates only to the entity on whose sales turnover (see clause 6.1) the Annual Subscription Fee is based. For the purpose of clarification if the Subscription Fee is based on the turnover of only one subsidiary of a trading group then no other subsidiary nor the parent company may receive Member Benefits.

2.5.     NAMTEC reserves the right to reject a membership application.

 

3.      Ownership of the Forum

3.1.     The Forum is a trading style of and owned exclusively by NAMTEC.

 

4.      Forum Advisory Group

4.1.     A Forum Advisory Council shall be formed and shall be regulated by its own rules.

 

5.      Membership Services and Benefits  

5.1.     The Forum shall provide Services and Benefits including but not exclusively;  market & technical business intelligence; inward & outward trade missions; facilitated attendance at major trade exhibitions; a high quality quarterly journal; Member to Member links & meetings; business events; a supply chain directory; Member promotions; discounts on NAMTEC services including consultancy & training and an annual conference & dinner.

5.2.     The Forum shall focus primarily on high growth sectors beneficial to Members.

5.3.     NAMTEC reserves the right to amend Membership Services and Benefits to meet the needs of its Members. 

 

6.      Annual Subscription Fees and Payment

6.1.     The Membership Fee payable shall be:

6.1.1.    Each Full Member shall pay an annual Membership Fee based on the annual sales turnover stated in its latest statutory or management accounts.  

6.1.2.    A flat Membership Fee shall be payable by academic institutions.

6.1.3.    A flat Membership Fee shall be payable by support organisations.

6.1.4.    A scale of Membership Fees will be published annually by NAMTEC on its website www.namtec.co.uk.

6.2.     All Membership Fees shall be subject to VAT at the rate applicable at the date of invoice.

6.3.     The first year Membership Fee shall be payable by debit or credit card if enrolling online at www.namtec.co.uk or otherwise within 30 days of the invoice date.

6.4.     The renewal process shall be:

6.4.1.    NAMTEC will issue an electronic Renewal Notice & Client Contact Update Form at least 6 weeks before the Renewal Date.

6.4.2.    The Client shall return the completed Client Contact Update form to NAMTEC within 2 weeks of receipt.

6.4.3.    NAMTEC will issue a Membership Fee Renewal Invoice at least 4 weeks before the Renewal Date.

6.4.4.    The Membership Fee shall be payable within 30 days of the date of invoice.

6.5.     Only Members who have a current paid-up subscription or are within in the 30 days grace for the payment of a renewal invoice will receive Membership Services & Benefits. For the purpose of clarification Services & Benefits will be suspended until a late payment is received.

6.6.     In the event of cancellation of membership no fee shall be repayable by NAMTEC.  

 

7.      NAMTEC Obligation

7.1.     NAMTEC will operate the Forum in the best interest of the Members within the income generated by the Forum.

 

8.      Member Obligations

8.1.     Members shall utilise the Membership Services solely for the benefit of their own organisations.

8.2.     All Members shall treat fellow Members professionally.

 

9.      Regional Benefits

9.1.     Where NAMTEC operates a publicly funded business assistance programme in a region, Members in that region may benefit from subsidised services and NAMTEC shall bring each programme to the attention of the relevant Members.  

 

10.    Titanium Information Group

10.1.   The Titanium Information Group (“TIG”) is a Special Interest Group associated to the Forum and its members are not Members of the Forum.

 

11.    Communication

11.1.   NAMTEC will communicate with Members via its staff, www.namtec.co.uk, the quarterly journal and events.
