Programme Manager - Training Services

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Programme Manager to co-ordinate the development and delivery of our regional High Level Skills programme. We are seeking an individual who is able to manage the delivery of a large and complex multi-strand skills development programme; with activities ranging from graduate recruitment and workforce development to schools engagement.

You will be expected to work closely with a small team of training specialists in the development and delivery of the programme, and to take responsibility for the formulation of the individual strand plans, the allocation and management of suitable resources, and the overall management and reporting of deliverables. You will also have full responsibility for the delivery of the project to budget and time.

A key part of the role will be to effectively communicate with the funding agencies, external delivery bodies, our industrial partners and other agencies. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of the training team strategy and forward programme. Previous experience of working with the engineering or materials manufacturing sectors would be advantageous.

The Role:
• Programme management of NAMTEC's High Level Skills training programme
• Financial management of the High Level Skills programme
• Formulation of strand activity plans and resource planning
• Management reporting of project progress and outputs
• Actively contribute to the development and delivery of the programme
• Contribute to the wider development of NAMTEC's training activities
• Effective communication with key stakeholders

The Individual:
• A track record in managing complex projects
• A proven ability to utilise standard project management tools and techniques
• A good appreciation of the UK's education and skills environment
• Able to work at a senior level with industry, academia and the public sector.
• An excellent communicator and team worker, with an enthusiasm for skills development, and capable of managing a small focussed team.
• Experience of working with the engineering or materials manufacturing sectors
