NAMTEC is a not-for-profit Research and Training Organisation (RTO) focusing on the UK’s Advanced Engineering and Metals (AEM) sector. Our mission is to establish and develop a flagship organisation that delivers outstanding research, training, technology and knowledge transfer services to metals and manufacturing companies, regionally, nationally and internationally.
We have worked with many businesses including large UK companies such as Siemens-VAI, Rolls-Royce, Land Rover, Accuride and Forge Masters, through to SMEs such as Metalysis, Clydesdales Forging, Chesterfield Cylinders, and Hampson Aerospace Machining. Where appropriate we actively seek partnerships with other key technology providers to ensure the realisation of maximum value to businesses.
Our achievements to date include:
- Delivering over £40M worth of business sales to engineering & manufacturing businesses
- Creating and safeguarding over 430 jobs
- Helping to introduce over 80 new practices and procedures
- Implementing over 50 new environmental practices and procedures with SMEs
- Supporting over 1,300 businesses and providing in-depth support to over 100 SMEs
- Delivering over 900 learning opportunities
