The Best Available Techniques scheme (BAT4) allows both small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and large enterprises to apply for financial and technical assistance to support environmental improvements and legislative compliance.
Companies that apply and meet the schemes requirements will gain software (Evolve 14K1) provided by E9, technical expertise, and funding to support the delivery of an environmental management system certified under ISO 14001:2004, the new international environmental management standard. The scheme is heavily subsidised for eligible companies.
Participating in the scheme provides companies with an excellent opportunity to reduce their legislative risk, improve their efficiency and to make rapid progress towards an internationally recognised management standard.
Places on the scheme are limited to a maximum of twenty companies and are allocated on a first come first served basis, once the suitability of companies have been established.
To qualify organisations need to be located within the South Yorkshire region.
The scheme is operated by E9 Ltd in conjunction with NAMTEC who provide the majority of the available financial support.
More details can be found in our BAT4 Guide.
THE BAT4 SCHEME IS NOW FULLY SUBSCRIBED LOOK OUT FOR THE NEW PROJECT COMING IN THE NEW YEAR.
