Undergraduate Summer Work Placement Opportunities are available for materials scientist/engineering undergraduates starting in the summer of 2009.
NAMTEC is working with universities and AEM companies to deliver this project which is part of the Higher Level Skills programme sponsored by Yorkshire Forward.
If you are a full-time student and are interested in gaining practical experience working within the AEM sector then this opportunity could be for you!
The programme is based upon matching interested undergraduates (first year BEng/BSc or second year MEng/MSc) with AEM sector companies who want to employ and get to know you and you to know them with a potential for employment when you graduate.
This is a three year scheme of two 9 weeks paid placements in each of the first and second years. (£280 per week for 2009). The 9 weeks comprises of 7 weeks placement, 1 week summer school and 1 week holiday.
You will attend a 1 week Summer School during each work placement of extra curricula study.
